I absolutely love my iPad! I have been a fan of Apple since forever and this little invention definitely does not disappoint. It also makes my other favorite technology – the iPhone – just all that better by offering it an extension of its fabulous apps. Will the iPad change your world? Will you use it every single day! Well, I think YES!
I received my iPad as a “push gift” for our first baby. We kept track of every feeding and change on the app BabyCenter. Our library is now on the iPad…I don’t remember the last time I even opened my Kindle. All the baby pics are on the iPad and all the videos are on a private facebook page easily viewable on the iPad. I check email, blog, work, monitor the cameras inside and outside our home and it pretty much helps me run my life. I use it with the small Apple wireless keyboard for heavy typing. Sometimes I wonder why I even need my MacBook Air…if they would just add the ability to view flash, I wouldn’t.
So what about the iPad 2? I don’t like to admit it but I’ve stood in line for sometimes 8 hours to get the latest gadget from Apple. I am definitely an early adopter so I was sure when the iPad 2 came out, I would dash out to get it. And if money was no issue, then I would have just for the ability to skype with the new camera. But in this economy, even early adopters are looking at what real value the additions make before getting the new and improved version – at least I am. The camera is cool but not great for more than skyping. It is a bit faster and it is super thin but not enough to make it worth upgrading. I was expecting more memory in this one and a better screen. I don’t know about you but I’m going to wait to see what they do in the next version. But if you don’t have an iPad, then do what you need to do to get one.
