Amazon Echo

When Mr. Cool first introduced us to Amazon Echo or i should say “Alexa”, I was not sure what to make of it. Sure it could answer a few questions and spell words for our little ones but I just didn’t get it. Over time, we got to know Alexa. When you are in the mood for some smooth Jazz, just ask Alexa to turn some on…the blue light comes on every time you call her name and it is much easier to use than Siri. Kids use it to turn on their kids music pandora station. The speaker is pretty good itself but you can also connect it to your Sonos system/sound system. It can give you the weather, headlines for the day, turn on and off lights, make coffee (if you have a specific coffee maker) turn on the TV. You can connect it to different services like your pizza place or ask it recipes. It can convert measurements while you are cooking, be your timer, set an alarm. You can have it keep a shopping list and to do list and connect to some ovens, dishwashers and refrigerators. Before I knew it, Alexa had joined the family. Now if it only could do the dishes! It comes in black and white. Retail is $179. For more information, visit Amazon.
