If you own an iPhone, you need to have this case! Since the beginning, water has been technology’s biggest enemy. I know this first hand having replaced multiple iPhones due to water damage. So before we even opened our iPhone 4S phones, we decided to find a waterproof case that did what it needed to do – protect our phones – and still kept our iPhones slim, lightweight, and stylish. What we found literally changed our life!
When we initially received our cases, we were skeptical. They seemed so thin… But we kept an open mind and followed the instructions to test our cases for being waterproof and then inserted our phones. The instructional videos on the LifeProof support page are very easy to follow. With each step, we became excited at the possibility of having our iPhones not only be waterproof but shockproof, rustproof, and snow proof! We have a busy / active lifestyle and a super active toddler that loves technology – accidents happen!
So once the phones were in, we started the tests and were amazed at the results we found. If you spill coffee all over your iPhone, you just rinse it off in the sink. Yes, you heard me right! Do you have to catch an important call while in the shower? You can accept the call quickly in the shower without worrying about water getting on your phone. Walking in the rain? No need to hide your phone. Your toddler drops your phone in her soup? No problem. You accidentally drop your phone? It’s protected (tested to military specs). It really works! With LifeProof, you can be at ease with your technology since life’s daily mishaps are no longer a concern.
The exciting part is that it doesn’t end there. This genius invention allows you to take your phone places you never thought possible! I now take my phone into the pool with me to catch my baby girl swimming. I’m probably one of the few people that tried this without the LifeProof cover. It was with an earlier version of the iPhone and the first time my baby was in the pool – let’s just say the outcome was not pretty! I’ve also put my phone inside my wetsuit and forgotten about it before entering the water. What I had afterwards was a very dead phone. Now, I’m planning on getting the proper accessories to swim with my iPhone!
Mr. Cool was impressed by the double AR-coated optical glass lenses. The case does not interfere with your ability to take amazing 8MP pics and 1080p HD video. He loves that he can take his iPhone skiing, off road mountain biking and kayaking without bulky cases that don’t allow him to see his phone. As much as Mr. Cool hates water near his technology, he also hates dust and rust. He showed me the damage little dust particles made to his iPhone 4 in a very short period of time. He is also the only person I know that takes his technology apart to dust it from time to time. As you can imagine, he is very particular about the gadgets he loves
.If something were to happen to our iPhone, we would lose much more than the ability to take calls. Our apps help us better manage our life. We use our phone to budget, keep track of expenses, manage our calendar, keep connected to our friends, handle our to-do lists, play our music, take (and store) irreplaceable pictures and video of our precious little girl…the list goes on and on.
I don’t know how we would live without LifeProof now that we have experienced the freedom of this amazing case! Accessories we would recommend – swimming headphone adapter, H2O Audio Surge Headphones, Radtech Dock Extender, bike mount, arm band and belt clip. The belt clip will be back in stock in November/December. We also like that you can order parts separately in case you wear out a portion of your case by overuse.
The iPhone and the LifeProof case are a match made in heaven. The cases come in black, white, pink, and purple. Please note the light cases come with a gray border and their pictures show the front and back of each case. We tested the black and white cases.
