Peace Pies Cheesecake – Vegan & Raw

Peace Pies Cheesecake – Vegan & Raw

There is a small shop in Encinitas and Ocean Beach (California) that makes my favorite vegan and raw cheesecakes. They have different ones each day but the flavors that top my list are white chocolate raspberry and mint chocolate. They are a little piece of heaven and you don’t feel awful after having it because it’s RAW and Vegan. Even though I’m vegan, I rarely like vegan desserts. When I heard raw and vegan, I didn’t even want to try it but I’m so glad I did. It was love at first bite.

Their food is also gluten and soy free. They purchase ingredients from local farms. They have a strict zero waste policy – they compost food scraps and use earth friendly packaging.

If you are in the area, be sure to stop in. Grocers carry some of their products but not their famous cheesecakes. They can also be found at multiple Farmer’s Markets in San Diego. Their cheesecakes are $9 a slice and $75 for a cake. This is what Mr. Cool get’s me as my birthday cake. For more information, please visit the Peace Pies website.
