We test drove many cars in this category. We wanted a vehicle that looked cool, drove well, was safe for kids and provided easy access to the third row for grandparents, family and friends. We initially looked at minivans but I couldn’t get my head around driving a soccer mom vehicle. Mr. Cool was skeptical at first on this vehicle having everything we were looking for but once he test drove it and checked out features like the 360 degree view camera, the ability for 3rd row passengers to get in and out on their own (even with kids car seats installed) and the fact that it drove like a sports car (intelligent All-Wheel Drive), he was sold. Mr. Cool rarely uses the gas saving selection but this option is on it. The leather detailing on the interior is beautiful.I love the backup collision intervention – if you are backing up and it senses something your don’t see, the car breaks for you. The third seating in most of the luxury cars we checked out was not comfortable. In this vehicle, we found there was no difference in comfort – 7 people can sit comfortably. For long trips, Mr. Cool attaches the Yakima cargo box on top and we are good to go. Ours even matches the color of our vehicle. The car starts at $43,100. Most of the luxury vehicles didn’t provide much luxury for the base pricing but not Infiniti – it really stood out with all the amazing features all the models come with. Some new features – a swing of your feet under the rear bumper and the lift gate automatically opens. For more information, visit the Infiniti website.
