Thai Massage

I’ve always believed in the amazing health benefits of getting regular massages. I’m amazed that we had not tried a Thai massage until now but it has now become part of our regular routine. Incorporate it into your routine and it will change your life. You will want someone that specializes in this type of massage and you will need to do your research in your area and even try a few different therapists until you find the right one for you. Thai massage is believed to have been originally developed by the physician to Buddha more than 2,500 years ago in India.  it then made its way to Thailand. It is more energizing and rigorous then many other forms of massage. There is no oil involved. Your wear loose and comfortable clothing and lie on a mat on the floor. You may be positioned in yoga-like positions from time to time but it is basically a deep static and rhythmic pressure on your body – from head to toe. Our therapist walks on you using a walker to better manipulate her weight while she gets every muscle in your body. The first few sessions may be difficult as your body gets used to it but you normally leave feeling relaxed, light as a feather and energized. It is one of the best things you can do for your health. If you live in San Diego, we love Kristi at Solana Beach Massage and Health Center.
