If you don’t have a good immersion blender, you are missing out. We don’t have a lot of time to spend in the kitchen and love tools that help speed up prep time and are quick to clean. We believe Bamix has created the best immersion blender available today. It is Swiss-made with a 200-watt AC motor and elongated neck. It has 2 speed settings and includes a whisk, beater, meat and vegetable mincer and an all purpose blade. It comes with a 3-year manufacturer’s warranty on the motor and 2-year warranty on parts. In honesty, I doubt you will ever need the warranty – all you need is maybe new blades from time to time and these are very inexpensive. We recommend also getting the wet/dry grinder attachment. I didn’t care for the plastic cup that it comes with but it works beautifully with the Crate and Barrel Working Glasses. The Working Glasses come with lids so you can quickly store any extras.
You can use this blender to make shakes, homemade tomato sauce, whipped cream, etc. in minutes. It makes organic baby food in seconds. You can cream soups right in the pot. I use the wet/dry attachment to chop nuts, flax seed, oatmeal. After using, just run the bamix blades under water or in a glass with some detergent and clean up is done. Even if you have a food processor and blender, you will still use your Bamix almost every day. It is one of the best tools you can have in your kitchen. It retails for $200 and is available at William-Sonoma. For more information, please visit the William-Sonoma website.
