A robot that sweeps and mops your floor?! Oh yes…I’m in love! The iRobot Scooba 390 was released in March of this year and it is truly amazing. If the Jetsons had a mop, it would be this one. I’m a bit of a neat freak and this technology does not disappoint. I don’t think our floors have ever been so clean. Once you’ve tried it and know what is possible, you will never be able to sweep and mop the old fashioned way again. If you have kids, pets, and/or a spouse, it is a must have!
In honesty, we had tried the previous generation robots and were not impressed. They were difficult to use and the end result was not worth the effort to set them up. The Scooba 390 has redefined what is possible. First, you don’t have to be a rocket…I mean robot scientist to use one. It is as easy as pouring in the liquid and pushing a button. Not tech savvy?…no problem. Grandma was able to use it and she didn’t even have to open the instructional booklet.
The Scooba sweeps, washes, scrubs and squeegees your floor for you. It works hard…super hard! For 45 minutes, it works to remove up to 98% of common household bacteria. Our favorite part – the Scooba never uses dirty water to wash your floors. The dirty water stays separate inside the robot. It is safe for marble, stone, tile, linoleum, vinyl, slate and sealed hardwood. One full tank washes up to 425 square feet before it requires refilling.
