Babies have so much noise in the womb that doctors say it is like a loud vacuum cleaner running all the time. It’s no wonder they are soothed by sounds. In another post we talked about using a teddy bear that produces real womb sounds. After a while, she graduated to a lullaby. Mr. Cool came across the lullby on this app and we’ve been using it ever since. There are no words just repetitive music and you can play the app on the iphone, ipad, and ipod. Since we have all three, our lullabye is always nearby. We’ve also gone as far as recording it and having it play on our Sonos system. Our little girl loves it! It helps cue her that it is nap time no matter the location. It also help block out any street noise.
We use it in the house, in the car, at grandma’s house, in hotels, while traveling, etc. It helps soothe her, get her in the sleep mode and keep her in the sleep mode. At night, she starts with the music but we have the timer stop it after an hour and she sleeps through the night. From time to time, she wakes up in the middle of the night crying, we turn on the music and like magic she is back to sleep in less than a minute.
